Overview

Moth Labs ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website or interact with our services.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide through:

  • Contact form: Name, email address, subject, and message content
  • Demo requests: Name, email address, organization, topic, preferred meeting times, time zone (detected by your browser), and any notes you add
  • Career applications: Name, email address, LinkedIn profile, area of interest, cover note, and uploaded resume

When you send any of these forms, we also record your IP address (the address of your internet connection). We use it to limit repeated submissions and to protect our forms from spam and abuse.

Analytics

Our website does not set any cookies of its own when you browse it. It saves your cookie choice, and your light or dark theme if you change it, in your browser's local storage. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag, which use cookies. Google Analytics shows us how visitors use our website. It collects usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and approximate location. The Google Ads tag helps us measure our advertising, and Google may use it to show you our ads on other websites. We also tell these tools when you send a form or click a "Book a demo" button, along with the choice you picked from a list (such as a subject or topic), how many meeting times you chose, or which button you clicked. We do not set up these tools to collect your name, email address, or anything you type into our forms. If you click Decline, neither tool loads. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page. The banner will then appear again. Cloudflare, which delivers our website, also measures page visits and page-load speed with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and runs whether or not you accept.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted via our contact form
  • To evaluate career applications
  • To arrange demos you request and email you to let you know we received your request
  • To improve our website and services
  • To measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our website, if you accept cookies
  • To protect our forms from spam and abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

Data Storage & Security

We store form submissions in a database on a server we operate. Resume files are not publicly available, and only our administrators can open them. The details you send through our forms, except resume files, are also emailed to our team's Gmail mailbox. We back up the database and resume files every day and keep each backup for about 15 days. We do not delete submissions, or the emails about them, automatically. We keep them until you ask us to delete them. After we delete them, copies may remain in our backups for up to about 15 days.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Cloudflare delivers our website, so everything you send us through the website, including your IP address, form entries, and resume files, passes through Cloudflare. Cloudflare also provides Cloudflare Web Analytics. Google Analytics and Google Ads provide website analytics and advertising, and load only if you accept cookies. Gmail, Google's email service, delivers form submissions to our team, keeps them in our mailbox, and sends you the email confirming we received your demo request. These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.
